Arrange a visit and an interview with the Head of School.
Interested families may contact the school at any time for an interview with the Head, an overview of the program and a tour of the school. This interview is informal and includes a thorough explanation of our curriculum, a tour of our campus, and plenty of time to ask questions and have questions answered. Parents are encouraged to visit The Island School first to determine whether or not it is a good match for their family before bringing their children to visit. Once children visit, they usually want to attend! Visiting without children also allows parents to focus on gathering all the information they need to make a good decision about whether or not to proceed with the full application process.
Contact the school to request an application packet or to set up an appointment with the Head of School.
Attend Open House, if possible.
Held each year during the last two weeks of January, this event (for parents only) provides an in-depth overview of the school’s mission, philosophy, curriculum, policies and practices, as well as an opportunity to meet the Head of School, the faculty, and to tour the school. You will also be invited to schedule an interview with the Head. Contact the main office at any time to request a postcard reminder about this event.
