The Island School benefits greatly from active and generous fundraising. As with most independent schools, tuition at The Island School covers only a part of the cost of educating a student. In order to keep tuition as affordable as possible, the school depends on fundraising to make up the difference between tuition income and actual cost.
Parents, grandparents, faculty and staff volunteer their time and talents to support yearly fundraising projects, which include student art notecard sales, a family Carnival in early October, the Annual Fund in the fall, and an evening Live and Silent Auction adult party in the spring. There are also other opportunities for supporting the school financially. Please contact us by e-mail or call 206.842.0400 if you would like more information.
The Island School’s 2013 – 2014 Annual Report summarizes our revenue and expenses, lists our donors and gives a glimpse into daily life at our school.
