The Carnival is an Island tradition, a day full of games and activities for kids, tasty BBQ, a used book sale and live music. This event is held in early October and is open to the larger community. Although the Carnival is a fundraiser, it is first and foremost a “friend-raiser.” The Carnival presents a wonderful way for families to come together, get to know each other and have a good time. Parents, students, alumni and others enjoy volunteering their time to make this event loads of fun.
Our Auction is the biggest end-of-year party for the adults in our community and unlike any other auction you may have attended. It includes both a silent and live auction, a fabulous dinner, and surprise entertainment. Volunteers organize, create items from student art, donate auction items and procure goods and services. This is the school’s single biggest fundraising event and a terrific party, besides. The Island School Auction is usually held in early May.
