Extended Day Assistant


Extended Day Assistant (2022-23 School Year)

The Island School seeks an energetic, caring and personable part-time Extended Day Assistant to be responsible for supervising children in the after school program daily from 3:00 to 5:00pm with one early release day on Mondays starting at 1:45pm for a total of 11.5 hours per week. Extended Day is a free play opportunity for children at our school. The assistant helps the coordinator supervise snack time, take attendance, oversee play time and play games or work on craft projects with students. This position begins September 8, 2022. The hourly rate for this position is $19.50.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged children, be enthusiastic about the wonder and curiosity of children this age and effectively work in a team. For a detailed job description, click here.
