Summer Day Camp Coordinator

Summer Day Camp Coordinator (Summer 2023)

The Island School seeks a dynamic, caring Summer Day Camp Coordinator to lead outdoor day camps at our location on Bainbridge Island. The Coordinator will work a total of between 3 and 7 weeks during the months of July and August. Camp runs from Monday through Friday and the coordinator will need to work from from 8:30am until 4:15pm.

This position will be responsible for creating camp curriculum, developing daily schedules, supervising an assistant and caring for campers on The Island School campus as well as the neighboring Food Forest. Activities may include daily hikes, art projects, creative exploration and free play. The coordinator will also supervise an assistant.

The salary range for this position is $30-$40 per hour. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.

Substitute Teachers (2022-23 School Year)

The Island School seeks substitute teachers for the 2022-2023 school year, supporting teaching and learning in one of our small elementary school classes (maximum of 18 children). The individual must demonstrate a love and respect for children and understand the vital importance of social/emotional learning.  Substitutes must have a bachelor’s degree and proof of COVID-19 vaccination. The hourly rate for this position is $19.50.
