Joyful Learning for World Citizenship

Program & Curriculum

Today’s learners are preparing for positions that do not yet exist, using tools not yet developed to solve problems not yet identified. The skills students need now and in the future are critical thinking, creativity, flexibility, confidence, curiosity, adaptability and strong communication, along with an ability to work effectively with others, regardless of differences. These skills are developed at The Island School from Kindergarten through fifth grade by engaging in fun, hands-on learning carried out in an atmosphere of love and support.

Our independent school also believes passionately in the value of fine art, music, physical education and Spanish as core parts of our elementary school curriculum, which are essential to the development of children.
